Write your brief
Fill in what you know; every field is optional. The message builds as you type, and you send it yourself from WhatsApp, or copy it into an email.
What a useful first message includes
A first exchange goes further when it answers these points:
- Your objective: return, market access, supply security, or a strategic presence
- Markets: the countries you are considering, or the region if you have not chosen yet
- Sector and project: an existing project you have been offered, or the type of asset you are looking for
- Ticket size and timing: an order of magnitude and the horizon you have in mind
- Your role: sole investor, co-investor, operator or lender
Documents are not needed at this stage. Do not send confidential material before you have agreed on how it will be handled.
What happens next
We read every brief and reply with a first view: whether the plan looks realistic, what would need checking, and whether we are the right people to help. If there is a fit, the next step is a call or a meeting in Dubai to go through the project in detail.
The conversation can run in English, French or Arabic, and the Africa UAE Advisor, Nidhal Chaawa, takes part in briefings on new mandates. You can read about the work on the advisor page.
